yup....COLD/FLU season

so i just am starting to come outta feelin' like sh*t since friday night....on tuesday oct 12 (my birthday) being the worst of the worst day) i'm finally back at work but now have developed a cough but at least i can swallow. i thought i'd share my story on how and what i did to get better:

first off...still super sorry to everyone who took off work on tuesday for my vegas bday party that i had to postpone. but ya for real , i couldnt swallow whole foods. i was on soup diet for 3 days i suppose. it sucked. i tried all day to tell myself that i could still party at night but then when it came time to get ready i started to ball my eyes out and realized , nope...this ain't gonna happen. that night i was border line going to the hospital i couldnt believe a person could feel so bad, i thought my throat was closing over.

anywho....just a heads up i firmly believe that the only thing that helped me get well was REST!!! i rested for 2 days straight...barely no talking and constant laying.
if only i knew that the only thing that would help would be REST i would have taken off work 3 days beforeeee my birthday.

here are some contributing factors that may have helped me get better before circuming to going to the doctor to take meds:

chicken noodle soup , added TONS of garlic and cayenne pepper and or/ tabassco sauce(couldnt eat the noodles though...just broth)
drank tons of tea...adding lemon and honey
drank lots of water
gargled with salt water (really wasn't that gross)
had an extremely hot shower
kept a heat pack on my throat at one point

so ya but number one thing is rest, dont push yourself cuz it ain't gonna help ya!! suck it up and miss a party / or work. you'll thank yourself in the end.
